After reading about the documentary on east Multnomah County’s diverse food culture, I invited my millennial daughters to join me at the screening, (“Documentary series about east Multnomah County’s diverse food culture will screen in Portland,” Jan. 14). Afterward, one of them told me she was full of hope. Her words reminded me that, despite the chaos in the world, hope exists in the stories people share – if we listen.
